All Good Things Must Come To An End

The closing ceremony is complete, the last band has completed the final concert. All that remains now is for us all to go back to our normal lives. We will take with us enduring memories of the friendly people, the varied and exciting activities, the nightlife and, above all, the Elmore dust. 10 days seems to have been a long time as we are missing those at home and our familiar surroundings. On the other hand it seems to have been a short time as we have done and seen so much in such a short period. There has always been something happening and something new to experience.

All those who have participated in Jamboree, and especially the Scouts, will remember AJ2007. For many Scouts it will the first of many Jamborees as they will return as Venturers, Rovers and  leaders to continue the tradition of service.

The friendship flag has been passed from Victoria to New South Wales. This signifies the start of the work towards the 22nd Australian Jamboree, AJ2010 at Cataract Scout Park. We look forward to hosting AJ2010 and are determined to make it even bigger than AJ2007 (no easy task).
